I made a menu

I got this idea from Pinterest.
What you'll need:
1 12x12 frame
1 sheet scrapbook paper
letter stickers
dry erase marker

On the scrapbook paper, stick your letters, then put the paper in the frame. Use the dry erase marker to write out your meals. Voila, you have a menu!

All's I can say is, let's do the fork in the garbage disposal.

Karma’s a bitch!

I got a notice from code enforcement about the tree limbs in my backyard. Code enforcement wouldn't have known anything about the limbs if I hadn't been an asshole and called them on my neighbors. Hopefully they'll be understanding and give me some time since I live alone and I'm broken. Oh well, I have Lortab, so who cares!

Look what I can do

So, yeah, yesterday morning I was cleaning my neighbor's trash up out of my backyard so I could call code enforcement on them, and I fell down and hurt myself. I stepped in a hole and fell all the way down. I put out my arms to keep from face-planting, and immediately my elbow hurt so bad I started crying. I haven't cried from physical pain in forever. I went to the doctor today, and he said because of the way I fell, I could have broken the bone plate in my elbow, but you can't see that on the x-ray, so it may be broken or I strained the ligament. I have a splint on it and I have to keep it in this sling and immobilized, and go back in a week. I'm awesome!

Thank you, Erika, for helping me type this.

My poor Paige

Paige is 3, almost 4. She's been going to head start this year, and she really likes it. She's pissed right now. It's Spring Break, and she doesn't understand why her mom won't take her to school. She's just mad. My poor baby.

Also, Mason is 5 and in kindergarten. He got in trouble a couple weeks ago for standing on the urinal at school. I think it's hilarious, but Leslie didn't really see the humor in it.

Dude

So, another semester has begun, and I don't think I'm going to make it through this one as smoothly as I did the last one. I have a 3 inch binder that I'm pretty sure isn't going to hold anymore papers, and it's only the beginning of the third week. I haven't really read anything, and I'm getting way behind already. I guess I'm going to spend the next week doing homework.

I've been doing some ceramics, I'll try to post pictures next time.

Holy Crap

I haven't blogged in forever. Well, I made it through the semester. I got B's in both Oklahoma History and Philosophy. I told you they suck. I really did enroll in 13 hours for this semester. The semester starts on Monday.
Let's see, what's happened since the last time I blogged? My dad and grandma came to visit me for my 30th birthday. We had a really great week, and, so far, being 30 doesn't suck as bad as I thought it would. While they were here, we were with my sister and her kids most of the time. I also spent a week with them at Christmas. It's so fun warping their fragile little minds. When I blow dry my hair, I flip my head upside down, and Paige saw me do it one day, so now she thinks that's the way you're supposed to do your hair, so that's how she does her hair. Over Christmas I stopped by my sister's and Mason was watching a video of the new version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I started bitching to Leslie & Jeremy that that wasn't real Ninja Turtles, so it was lame (not thinking that Mason would be listening). Now Mason tells her that's not real Ninja Turtles, and will only watch the live action Ninja Turtles movies. :) Leslie doesn't find it as funny as I do.
Not much else is going on really, but I am planning to get the mother of all nerd tattoos when I get my student loan money. I'll post pictures. It's going to be awesome.

Ugh

I am so ready for this semester to be over! I'm enrolled in 12 hours this semester, my first time to take that many hours, and I'm just ready to be done. Philosophy and Oklahoma History SUCK! I was thinking about taking 13 hours next semester, but I really don't want to do that; maybe I'll just do 6.

Oh the drama

Poor, crazy Britney Spears finally lost custody of her children to Kevin Federline. Who would have thought 2 years ago that Kevin would be ruled the more stable parent? It's madness. Miss Britney needs to get some help, seriously.

Come on now

Is it really too much to ask that people not talk on their cell phones in the library? I man, people come here so they can have a quiet environment to study in. They don't want to hear couples fighting over the phone, or people gossiping about insignificant bull shit. Speaking of insignificant bull shit, did you see Britney on the VMAs? Anyway, these are the same people who would complain to me if other people were talking loudly on their phones around them while they were trying to study. When did people become so inconsiderate?

My new puppy

I got a puppy. She's just a mutt. I got her free from an ad in the paper. I've had her for about a month now. The lady I got her from said all she knows is that her mom is part heeler. I think she's got some pit bull in her too. She's really sweet, and she's only peed on the floor twice, and that was during the first week I had her. I got her because she'll get big, and she doesn't know the neighbor kids that live across the street. Here are a couple pictures of her:

Vacation pictures will be coming soon. I'm still in the process of getting them uploaded.

Happy 5th o July

I hope everyone had a fantabulous 4th of July. I had a great day. I am typing this from my dad's computer in Atwater, California. Surprise! I'm on vacation! I got here on the 2nd, and it's been a wonderful few days. I've been here 2 nights, and awoken hung over 2 mornings. :) I've eaten In 'n' Out, and bought wine at Delicato, but most importantly, I've spent time with my family. I'm having such a good time, but it's going by so fast though. I'm going back home the 10th, but I'm just going to be in denial for now, and pretend like I can stay here forever. Y'all have a great day!

Happy Monday!

Things are getting better in my neck of the woods. How are things in yours? I started sleeping at my house again Thursday night. I'm having a little trouble falling asleep. I don't like not being able to see what's there when my eyes are closed. Probably 5 or 6 times a night, just as I'm dozing off, I jerk back awake. It really is getting better though. I took my cats to the animal shelter on Friday. Since I haven't been home that much the last couple of weeks, they started going potty everywhere, and Friday morning I caught Colby peeing on my bed. That was the last straw. The guy at the shelter said since they are declawed and friendly they will probably be adopted quickly, so I'm okay with it. Saturday I went to a friend's retirement party. It was so much fun. Saturday night, Heather and I went to Holdenville and got her a Wii. It is AWESOME! The last 2 days I've gone over there on my lunch hour and played it. I just can't get enough. And let me tell you, it is a work out. My arms are sore. Also, Fritos Flavor Twists Honey BBQ are the greatest chips ever. That is all.

Update

I had a really bad day yesterday. I'm having a hard time feeling like I'm not in control. I'm ready for my life to just get back to normal. I talked to a counselor yesterday, and she told me everything I'm feeling is normal considering what I've been through, and when I get panicked, take deep cleansing breathes. I went home early last night because I just couldn't stop crying, and Heather took me out to eat and to play bingo. I won $50! Yay! Heather is such a good friend. She knows just how to get my mind off of things for a little while, and I'm feeling much better today. I even think I'm going to sleep at my house tonight.

God bless the NRA.
God bless Charlton Heston.

Drama

Alright, here's how the shiz went down:
Last week I was working 8-5's, and didn't get much sleep over the Memorial Day weekend, so when I got home Tuesday night, I went to bed at like 7pm. I awoke out of a dead sleep for some unknown reason about 1:35am, which happens like once a week, and I got scared, so I turned on the light to make sure no one was there, usually no one is there when I do this. This time, there was someone in a ski mask crouched on the floor next to my bed. I screamed, "Aah, Aah, Aah, Aah, GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!" They did, thank God. When they were gone, I got up and ran to the back door and closed it and locked it, and called the police. They came, and as soon as I got off the phone with the 911 operator, I called my neighbor friend across the street. She came over and sat with me for a little while, then I went and spent the rest of the night at a friend's house researching guns and gun laws. As soon as the gun store opened, I went and bought this:

It is a PA 63 pistol.
I had only shot a gun one time in my life before this day, but let me tell you, shooting a gun is the most empowering feeling I've ever felt. Also, I am a very good shot, according to the gun salesman. So, after I got the gun, I went to work, then after work I went to Home Depot and got new locks for my windows and doors. The neighbor's husband came over and installed the locks, and gave me some gun tips, then went home. Not 2 minutes later he came back with one of his boys, and said to me, "Amanda, [boy] has something he needs to get off his chest," then [boy] says, "Amanda, it was me." I flipped out and screamed at him for a few minutes, then told him I didn't want to look at him and sent him home. I think I felt more violated that it was someone I knew than when I thought it was a stranger, but I did feel safer to sleep in my house that night. That safe feeling has gone away, but hopefully it will return soon. So, he's been turned into the police, and whatever happens is in the DA's hands now.

Oh, BTW, it took 10-15 minutes from the time I walked into the gun store 'til I was walking out with a gun.
God bless the NRA.
God bless Charlton Heston.
That is all.

It's a sad day

Rosie O'Donnell is leaving The View 3 weeks early, after her blow up with Elizabeth on Wednesday. Rosie was scheduled off for Kelli's birthday on Thursday and Friday's shows are prerecorded. It was announced today that she won't be coming back. I love Rosie, and started watching The View when she joined the team. Before today, well Wednesday really, I had planned on continuing on after Rosie left, but I think I'm done with The View now. Also, much props to Rosie's writer, Janine, for having to be escorted from ABC studios after she was caught drawing mustaches on pictures of Elizabeth. A little immature, but funny none the less. Have a good day. Peace out!

Seduction Style

I stole this from Monty, who stole it from someone else, so it's okay.
