My 19-year-old friend, we'll call her "Bob," lost her virginity last night. She came into my office, and was like, "Oh my God, I have to talk to you!" I looked at her and said, "You had sex." She covered her face and was like, "How did you know that?" Anyway, it was with a guy she had just met, and she had sex with him in the back seat of his car.
One of her other friends, we'll call her "Stupid," got mad at her, told her her virginity was gone, and she could never get it back, and the guy was just using her, etc. Well, Bob told Stupid that she was using him, and she had fun, so she didn't care if Stupid was mad at her. Stupid is a big stupid liar anyway, and doesn't deserve to be friends with Bob.
Bob's a little hyper, and kind of thought that she was going to go to hell for having sex with a guy she didn't really know. I told her she's only 19, and that she's going to do a lot of things worse than having sex that are going to send her to hell. She told me that made her feel better, and she was glad she talked to me.
That was my excitement for today.

I found out some very interesting news this morning. Motley Crue is getting back together. All 4 original members, including Tommy Lee, are touring next year. I'm a huge Motley Crue fan, always have been. The closest they come to here is Dallas, and you can bet your sweet ass I'm going to that show.

I've become very involved in a message board recently. Before, the only thing I looked at message boards for was updates on Big Brother, in between shows. There is a new addition my family. On June 14, Flag Day, my sister Leslie gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Her name is Paige Rylee. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 12 oz., 21 inches long, and she is beautiful!

I had my Cinco de Mayo Party. It turned out really well. I still have a fridge full of Coronas. There were several people who told me they would be there that didn't show up, but the people who were there was enough for me. Like 6 people came, and that turned out to be the perfect number. We got drunk and whacked pinatas and played name that tune. I never saw the guy I like to invite him, but that's okay, his loss.

I'm applying for a reality TV show again. I would pick me. I'm quality entertainment. If the people who chose these things don't see that, though, it's their loss, and I can continue being quality entertainment for the people I love, just not all of America.

The Student Activities Awards Banquet was Friday night, and my club won Club of the Year! I'm glad we did, because we worked really hard, and it was great to achieve our goal. As a reward for winning, we get $500 added to our budget, and our club name carved on a stone bench in front of the student center. We also get an article about us in the school paper.

I found out why the cute boy hasn't been around. Turns out he got into a bar room brawl, got a bottle broken over his head, and hasn't really been coming to school because he's been having a problem with dizziness. How crazy is that?! Here's the problem with that though: today is the next to last day I'm working before my party, and I still haven't seen him to invite him! One of my friends thinks I should just get his phone number off of the computer and call him and invite him, but he hasn't actually given me his number, and I don't want him to think I'm some psycho stalker chick, so I don't want to do that. I'm having a Cinco De Mayo party. Last Cinco De Mayo, I went out after work, got drunk, and had to have my friend's dad drive me home. Also, I was ridiculously miserably hung over at work the next day. This time I planned ahead. I am taking off the 5th and the 6th. I can have all day the 5th to prepare for the party, and I can have the 6th to say goodbye to my "Friends." Anyway, the reason for the party is so I can ask the cute boy to come, and again, I haven't seen him for a few days, so I don't even know if that's going to happen. It's really starting to stress me out. Whether he's there or not, the party is going to be awesome. There will be margaritas and Coronas and sombreros and pinatas. It's going to be mad crazy off the hook. Too bad you can't come.

So, I got over hating my job. I'm loving it again. I don't know what crawled up my butt, but I was really cranky for like 3 days before I posted last time.

I went to my friend's 21st birthday party, it rocked. There was a band there, and I got to play bass on a song that my friend Jon sang.

I went to Habitat for Humanity. I ended up leaving at noon, but the time I spent there was fun and rewarding.

The Prince concert was AWESOME! Words can't describe how great it was. That man oozes sexuality.

My dad did make it here, and back home again safely. I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with him. It was quality time. He spent the week at my sister's house, because it's big enough to accommodate extra people, so in spending time with them, I got to spend time in my hometown. Usually I'm not a fan, but it was alright.

I've been trying to work up the nerve to ask the cute boy out, but every time I think I'm ready, it's a few days before he comes in, and I lose my nerve again. I have never asked a boy out before, and it seems really scary. I know that he likes me, but there is still that fear of rejection in the back of my mind. Oh well, I'll work it out.

I am not having a good week. Mostly because I am hating my job right now. I don't even know why I hate my job; I just don't want to come anymore. I'm bored with it. I need something new and different. I'm to the point that I'm considering cutting hair again. I'm going to my friend's 21st birthday party Saturday night, and I was going to ask the cute boy to go with me, but I haven't even seen him this week. This week sucks! Hopefully it'll get better. I got paid today, so that helps. On Friday, I'm going to do Habitat for Humanity with the student senate. I have to be here at 8:15 in the morning, but other than that, I'm kind of excited. It's just 6 more days until the Prince concert. I can't wait for that. My dad is going to be here next Saturday, and I'm really stoked about that. I took most of that week off, but I'll have to come back and work one day. That's part of the reason I'm upset. I was told a while back that I would be able to take all that time off, and now I can't. I can't because the OLA conference is that week, and it would have been okay for me to take off for OLA, but since the reason I want off isn't OLA, I can't, which I think is a huge load of crap. God, it feels good to vent.

I went to a forum today about the proposed Oklahoma Education Lottery. Governor Brad Henry spoke about how it will pay for early childhood and higher education. Oklahoma is only 1 of 11 states without a lottery. Also, he said that in the proposal, a minimum of $250,000 is earmarked for gambling addiction education and support. Oregon has roughly the same population as Oklahoma, and they have made over $1 billion in education improvements. Along with the lottery is a proposed constitutional amendment that would prevent the legislature from backdooring general funds out of education and being replaced by the lottery revenues. I know this was one major concern of a lot of people. Channel 5 was there, and asked me what I thought about it. I told them that I liked the idea, and that anything that makes Oklahoma smarter is a wonderful idea. I was supposed to be on the 5 o'clock news tonight. I don't know if I was or not, though, because I was working.

It's official! I am now a student senator.

My cable got disconnected, and I'm still alive! It's been, like, a week with out TV. I'm just glad the VCR and DVD players still work. I've been watching The Fellowship of the Ring, and am planning on watching The Cat and The Hat tonight. Also I'm rereading my Harry Potter books, which is quite enjoyable. They're very addictive. I didn't start reading them until after I had watched the first movie, now I can't wait for a new book, and the 3rd movie is coming out this summer! Yeah!

Those of you who know me, know that I am a stark supporter of our Commander in Chief, President George W. Bush. He's the man, vote for him.

I had a great weekend this weekend. I went to Tulsa on Thursday afternoon, and got home just in time to get ready for work today. I spent Thursday afternoon hanging out with Shannon. I used to see him on a daily basis, and now only see him once or twice a year. I need to make more of an effort to hang out with him, because we have a blast everytime we are together. This morning when I stopped at QuikTrip, I saw Israel. I haven't seen him in like 2 years, and I called him Thursday night, but he didn't answer. It was kind of a trip. I wish I had had more time to talk to him, but I had to head home. Sydney's birthday party was yesterday. It was fun. The cakes were adorable. Karissa worked really hard, and the party turned out really well.

Next Tuesday, I am going to be sworn into the Student Senate. There are 21 student senators. They call them the 21 brightest minds on campus. Go me. I think it's going to be lots of fun. I've pretty much participated in all of the activities that they've held so far this year anyway, and I'm planning on participating in everything else, so why not just go all out and be one of them. Also, I declared a major. I was a Liberal Studies major, which basically just means that I didn't know what I wanted to do anyway, so I declared History so that I could be the Student Senate Division Merit Appointee for the Social Sciences department. I had been trying to decide if I wanted to declare English or History, anyway, because I didn't want to be Liberal Studies anymore, so this senate opportunity kind of decided for me.
That said, I hate school, and I don't want to go anymore. What I'm thinking is that I can start CLEPing out of classes, and hopefully I can CLEP my way to an associates degree. My main problem with school is having to go to class, so if I can just do the studying and work through the book on my own, I shouldn't have a problem testing out.

I'm thinking about getting a hair cutting job again. If I can cut hair part time, I'll have an extra paycheck, and I'll have tips to live on throughout the month. Also, the people of Midwest City will have a great cosmetological skill like no other available to them. Cause we all know I'm the best hairdresser in the state of Oklahoma.

We went to the zoo on Saturday. It was raining. It was a lot colder than I thought it would be, and I forgot my umbrella. We got on the tram and rode it to the monkeys, got off, looked at the gorillas and the big cats, got back on the tram, and left. We did see the baby gorilla. It's really cute.

I got not one, but two new kittens this weekend; a girl kitten for mom, and a boy kitten for me. My kitten is white with grey on his head and beautiful blue eyes. His name is Colby. Mom's kitten is white with grey on the tip of her tail and light tan on her head. Her name is Fiona. I love my kitties. They sleep with me. They're so sweet. Roach, my dog, isn't adjusting well to the new additions. He avoids them at all costs. It's really pretty funny; he acts like he's tough, till you bring out a harmless adorable kitten. Okay, they're not that harmless. I'm covered in little scratches on my arms and legs. They don't mean to do it of course, they just don't know to work their claws yet.

This week is spring break. Most college students love spring break, but personally I'm not a fan. My normal work schedule is 1-10 everyday, but on spring break I have to work 8-5. I'm having some trouble adjusting. Today and tomorrow, I'm taking vacation time and coming in at 10 so I can sleep a little later.

I'm having my cable disconnected today. Those of you who know me, know how much I love my TV. This is a big step for me, but it's a step I need to make, and at the end of the day, I've got to be okay with that.

The Friends of the Library are going to the zoo this Saturday. It's the zoo's 100th birthday celebration, and I didn't even know that when we were planning the event. It's probably going to rain, because that's what happens everytime you make outdoor plans in March in Oklahoma. Actually, I would prefer for it to rain; I have an umbrella. Since it's a big event, there will probably be a lot of people, but if it rains there won't be so many. The zoo has a baby gorilla that was born on Jan. 25, so that will be fun to see.

Well, Matthew didn't make it on American Idol. It makes me a little sad, but I'll get over it. . .'cause Colby's still on Survivor.

A couple of months ago, a handsome young man in the library called me a hot chick. It's a very rare occurrence, so it kind of took me by surprise. I notice him every time he comes in the library, and we've talked a couple of times. He was in today, and we had a really nice conversation. Hopefully, he'll ask me out soon, cause I can't take the stress of it much longer. He seems like a great guy, smart, funny, HOT, you know, all of the necessary attributes. Also, he's going to school, so he's probably going somewhere in his life. I'm going to stop there, but I could ramble about him for days. I'll keep you posted on how it's going.

I went to the Three Dog Night concert last night. I wasn't impressed. The sound wasn't very good. You couldn't understand anything that they were singing. The best part was laughing at this couple of hippies. They were both wearing tie dyed t-shirts, and the woman was wearing purple nylon shorts, black socks, and black shoes; the man was wearing white nylon shorts and sandals. I must admit that seeing these two made the whole night worth it.

So, a couple of days ago, I decided that I want to buy my mom a cat for St. Patrick's Day. I was thinking that I would get a kitten, put a green bow around it's neck, and name it Patti O'Malley for the occasion. The plan has become a little more elaborate than that. Here's the deal. I don't think that I can afford to buy a cat until the first of the month, but for the last couple of days I've been telling her that I'm going to get her a St. Patrick's Day surprise. So, on St. Patrick's Day, I'm going to tell her she'll have to wait until the 1st of the month for the surprise. The first of the month, as you may know, is April Fool's Day. On that day, I'm going to tell her that there wasn't really a surprise, it was all just an April Fools Day joke, then the next day, or later that day, I'm going to present her with the kitten. I think it's brilliant, and touching on evil genius.

Colby was on Curb Your Enthusiasm last night. I don't ever watch this show, but I made an exception for the Colbster. It was really funny. Larry was talking to the rabbi, and invited him to dinner. The rabbi asked if he could bring his friend, and said he was a Survivor. Larry said his dad had a friend who was a survivor, and invited him to dinner. The rabbi's Survivor was Colby, and the dad's survivor was a survivor of the holocaust. Colby and the holocaust survivor got into an arguement over dinner about who had it worse off. If you'd like to see it, let me know. I taped it.

Tonight is Three Dog Night. I can't wait! I get to leave work early; that's why you're hearing from me now.

I have never tried to hide where I stand on the positions of the Survivor: All-Stars(see March 2). Everyone in my family knows of my love for Colby. Yet, my brother, Sean, who knows Colby is going to win, is trying to cause a ruckus. I don't know why, but for some reason, Sean is a fan of Boston Rob. Probably because Rob is an ass just like Sean. Anyway, all Survivor fans know that if you're not Richard Hatch, or a shady car salesman, you can't win by being an ass. And, we all saw Richard Hatch get voted off BECAUSE COLBY SAID SO! If Boston Rob makes it to the merge, I think that Colby will say so again, and Rob will be gone. And, I will laugh at Sean forever!!! Muahahaha!

Okay, first things first: I correctly predicted that this would be Sue's last week on Survivor. I'm kind of sorry that I did. I didn't think she'd go out like that. She just quit. I didn't really see anything that wrong with what Richard did, but I'm not most people.
Also, Sean is an ass, and Boston Rob is GOING DOWN! Colby rules Survivor!

Now, who feels sorry for Martha Stewart? I think that it is sad that she is going to prison, but I also think it's a little funny. You can't get away with lying to a Federal agency. It's like lying to your mother: it may take a day, a week, a month, a year, but they're going to find out, and when they do, you are so grounded! A friend of mine was going on about how successful women in this country are brought down because they're women, but Martha totally did it to herself.

Did you see the National IQ Test show on Fox on Friday night? I watched it with a couple of friends, and I did pretty good. Not as good as I thought I would, but good. They had a celebrity panel with Ben Stein, Fred Willard, Kim Coles, Vincent Pastore, and a couple of 'C' list people. Fred Willard had the highest IQ of the celebrities, and mine was higher than his. That really surprised me. I thought for sure that Ben Stein was more intelligent than me. Hell, he had his own game show because he was smart. I want my own game show now. I have star quality. I have charisma!

I'm reading a book about women serial killers. It's crazy how many women have murdered on a large scale with poison. It's really a very interesting book. Lots of nice church going ladies going down for killing like 20 people. Insane! I'm also reading The Hobbit, and re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
I should be using the time I'm spending reading doing my math homework, but I don't want to. I think I may not pass my math class. I missed a test yesterday, and the final is this coming Friday. I have like 3 chapters of homework to do before I'm prepared to take the final, but if I do really well on the final, I'll pass.
I can't wait for the new Harry Potter Movie to come out! I liked the first two, but I hope this one will be way better. It's only 3 months away! I'm definitely going to see it on the first day, at the mid-night show if they have one. So much exciting stuff happens in this one; I hope they don't cut any of the good stuff out.

I'm even more excited about next week. Next week is Wildcard week. They are getting together 8 people from the previous shows to give them one more shot. My favorite guy so far this year came in at number 3 on the first week. His name is Matthew Metzger. Last time he sang Walking in Memphis, which is one of my favorite songs. I got a new picture of my niece in the mail today. It came with an invitation to her 1st birthday party. I can't believe it's been a whole year; it seems like we were waiting for her to come just yesterday! I started making something for her the week before she was born, while I was on jury duty. I should probably try to finish it and give it to her for her birthday. It's really cute, but I don't want to say what it is just now, because I want it to be a surprise for Karissa.

I am going to see Prince! He's going to be here on April 6, and Karissa, her friend Jessica and I are going. I'm so excited. It's very rare that I get to go to a concert, even more rare that an 80's pop idol is in concert and I get to go. It's supposed to be a greatest hits tour. I can't wait to see him sing Purple Rain, one of the greatest songs of all time. I'm also going to see Three Dog Night on Monday. That's going to be here at the college, so it won't be as big as Prince. The front man of Candlebox's new band, Kevin Martin & the High Watts, is also coming to play at the college's Spring Event on April 17. I don't know if I'm going to be able to see that or not, but I really hope that I can.

A funny thing happened at work this evening. I was hanging out in the computer lab, and a really cute boy asked for help. It was a reference question, so we sent him to the librarian. Before he had a chance to get to her, we called her and told her to tell him that the girls upstairs thought he was cute and would like his phone number. We didn't really think she would get it, so when he came back upstairs, we had Jill talk to him. He came in and talked to Jennifer and said call me some time. We didn't know that he had already given his phone number to the librarian, so we kind of thought that he wasn't very smart, since he didn't give it to her. Well, the librarian just brought me his phone number, so now we know he might not be as dumb as we originally thought.

Ah, two days in a row; it must be a March miracle! I'm having a great day today. Our club is participating in a campus wide voter drive. We aided 68 people in registering to vote! I think voting is wonderful. I also think America is wonderful. I think that America is the greatest country on the planet, and we, as Americans, are all extremely privileged to live in a country that allows us to use our voice, and our voice be heard. It turns out, only 100 people registered to vote for the whole campus. 68 of those were ours! We rock!!!

Jeff Probst is in Oklahoma City today! He was live in the studio on my radio show this evening. I have severe Survivor OCD. I love it. I can't get enough. I get really excited when anything Survivor related happens. Until Survivor: All-Stars started, my favorite was Survivor: Australian Outback. Both of these Survivors have Colby Donaldson, against whom I will judge all men for the rest of my life.
I didn't watch the original Survivor, so until All-Stars, I knew of Richard Hatch and Sue Hawk, but I didn't really know how dynamic their personalities really are. I now know that Richard is one of those guys you love to hate, and believe me, I loved hating him and was kind of disappointed when he got voted off. But, alas, it wasn't Colby going home, so I'm still happy.

Here's my stand on how voting has gone so far:
Tina - I have been angry with Tina ever since she won Australian Outback. Colby ruled the Outback until the final tribal council, and I think that Tina was lazy for riding his coattails for the entire game. That said, I really do like Tina, and I think that it was unfair to vote her out first just because she had won before.
Rudy - Again, I didn't watch the first Survivor, so I had absolutely zero attachment to Rudy, and didn't really care that he got voted off.
Jenna M. - I liked Jenna; I thought she was a good competitor. That said, I think she left for a good reason. She had to go with her gut. Also, she can still say she was never voted off of Survivor.
Rob C. - I love Rob C. I think he's an evil genius. Boston Rob is an ass for orchestrating the removal of Rob C.
Richard - see above.

Here's my stand on who's left:
Jerri - I really think that they need to get rid of Jerri. Jerri is one of those people that you just hate, no love to it. She is an evil conniving bitch, and didn't deserve to be brought back in the first place. If they don't get rid of her soon, she will be Colby's downfall.
Alicia - Alicia is a strong competitor, and was voted out of Australia for that reason. This is a different game, but I still think she is going to go early for that reason.
Amber - Amber was a twit in Australia, is a twit now, and will probably be a twit for the rest of her life. She didn't play the game then, and doesn't really seem to be playing the game now. She got as far as she did in Australia because she was likeable, but has again teamed up with one of the most unlikable players out there. Last time it was Jerri, this time it is Boston Rob. My prediction for Amber is that most of the "threats" will be eliminated, then it will be her time to go.
Jenna L. - Again, first season, no emotional attachment; I don't really care what happens with her as long as she doesn't make it to the final 4. I think she's an idiot.
Boston Rob - He's an ass. That's exactly what I think of Boston Rob. He tries to be smooth, and thinks he has control of the game, but his tribe will get sick of him soon enough, and he'll be gone. I'm not really worried about him making it very far.
Rupert - He is one of the best players to ever play the game. His biggest problem is that he takes everything so personally.
Sue - She's just nasty. Sue is a very abrasive person, who probably won't make it much further than next week, maybe the week after that. I know that she has a huge emotional outburst coming this episode, so that could be the end of her.
Tom - I love Big Tom. He's not the smartest Survivor ever, but he is definitely the funniest. He drinks too much, which could be his downfall, but other than that he's really truly lovable.
Kathy - She was on Marquesas, which I only caught 2 episodes of, so I have not really developed an opinion of her yet, except that she was in on the plotting to vote Colby out last week, so she's got to go.
Shii Ann - I hated her on Thailand because she was a whinny cry baby. I haven't seen that this season, but it'll come soon enough.
Ethan - He's was very good at flying under the radar in Africa. He can't do that this time around because he has a huge "Winner" target on his back. He and Colby may be working together now, which doesn't hurt his cause in my book. He could be around for a little while longer.
Lex - Lex is a good player. He's a strong competitor, but he showed weakness in Africa when he freaked out about who voted against him at the merge. Hopefully he learned from that experience.
Colby - In my book, Colby is one of, if not the greatest player to play this game. Colby should start working on alliances now that will take him to the final two.

My ideal final four: Colby(of course), Big Tom, Ethan, and either Lex or Rupert, these two are interchangeable.

How is everyone? Again, it's been a long time since the last time I did this.

My little sister is pregnant again, this time it's a girl! I'm very excited.
I went to Cali for Christmas vacation w/ my dad.
The RSC Friends of the Library Club is the most active student organization on campus, and is in the lead to win Club of the Year.
With the club, I have been going to a local elementary school and reading to the Pre-K class. This is a very rewarding activity.
As of right now, I'm planning to move to California at the end of August.

I love California. When I was there for Christmas, I went to San Francisco. It is a beautiful city. We went to a 5 story Macy's store, a 3 story Old Navy store, a 3 story Virgin Megastore, and a HUGE Disney Store. We also went to a little vineyard called Delicato. They make a wonderful almondine sparkling wine. I brought 4 bottles home, and it was gone in a matter of days.

I got my picture in the school paper for being accepted to Mensa. This is what the article said:
Amanda proves Mensa-worthy intelligence

Mensa, a society that welcomes individuals from all walks of life as long as their IQ is in the top two percent of the population, has just welcomed a new member, RSC student Amanda, liberal studies major.

"I was watching Animal Planet and they had the planet's ten smartest animals," said Amanda. "They talked about Mensa and I thought, "Hey, I can do that.'"

The word "Mensa" is Latin and means "table." The name is meant to stand for a round-table organization where race, creed, color, age, politics, national origin, educational or social background are immaterial.

According to the Mensa International Web site (www.mensa.org), Mensa's goals are "to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity, to encourage research in the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence and to promote stimulating intellectual and social opportunities for its members."

Mensa currently boasts approximately 100,000 members in 100 countries, with active Mensa organizations in 40 countries on every continent except Antarctica.

"Mensans range in age from four to 94, but most are between 20 and 60," reports the Mensa International Web site. "In education, they range from pre-schoolers to high school dropouts to people with multiple doctorates. There are Mensans on welfare and Mensans who are millionaires. As far as occupations, the range is staggering. Mensa has professional truck drivers, scientists, firefighters, computer programmers, farmers, artists, military people, musicians, laborers, police officers, glassblowers - the diverse list goes on and on."

Mensa members share only one prevalent attribute: they all have very high IQs.

For people who want to qualify for Mensa, there are two ways to prove themselves: either take the Mensa test or submit a qualifying score from another intelligence test that is Mensa-approved and was properly administered and supervised.

Since there are so many IQ tests and not all give the same results (i.e. a person's result on one test may be 133 while on another test, the person would have been scored at 147), Mensa has set a percentile cutoff to dodge confusion. Applicants for Mensa must attain a score more than or equal to the score of 98 percent of the population on a standard test of intelligence.

"I took the Mensa test on national testing day," said Amanda. "The day after I took the test, I started telling myself,'I didn't get in. I'm not going to worry about it.' So I was really excited - I cried when I got my letter."
People who join Mensa can look forward to many benefits. There are roughly 200 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for different passions. There are SIGs for practically anything a person can fall in love with, whether it is microbiology , zoology, or chocolate.

"There are SIGs for breadmaking, winemaking, cartooning, silversmithing and clowning," reports the Mensa International Web site. "Heraldry, semantics and Egyptology co-exist with barkeeping, motorcycling and tap dancing. Sports SIGs cover the classics (baseball, basketball and football) and the not-so-classic (skeetshooting, hang gliding and skydiving.) And any Mensan who can't find a SIG to join can easily start one."

Mensa members receive a national magazine that boasts congributions by Mensans on varying subjects. SIGs have meetings - some only once a month and some daily. Mensa sponsors a members-only credit card and insurance program in some countries. There is also a program for traveling Mensans that aids them while they go abroad.
